JABO Ibehre admitted a small part of him was happy not to score against Orient, last weekend.

The former cult hero striker was back at Brisbane Road with Stockport County for the game.

He received a fond welcome from the home fans, who also chanted his name when he blazed a shot into row Z of South Stand.

Afterwards, Ibehre said: “You don’t want to do that (beat) to people who have been there for you, and so on.

“But it’s one of those things and it’s done now”.

He said it was “fantastic” to be back at where his career began.

“It's always a pleasure to come back.

“But it’s always weird and there’s an eerie feeling about it for me, as I’m not here any more, and there are the new stands.

“But I do enjoy it and it was great to get a fantastic welcome”.

Ibehre is poised to return to Milton Keynes Dons after a successful loan spell at doomed Stockport County, since January.

Stadium:MK will be his home for the foreseeable future, he said.

“I still have two years at MK Dons so I’ll go back there and get cracking. As long as my hamstring is fine, I’ll be raring to go for next season.

“First and foremost you just want to play football and I'm happy to be playing at the moment”.
