Third XI Premier Division

Wanstead & Snaresbrook Thirds were unable to seal the title as they suffered a disappointing 194-run defeat to second-placed Ilford.

Wanstead still lead Ilford by 17 points but the loss means the title race goes to final day of the season.

Ilford opted to bat first and put on 262 for seven. Asif Majid was Wanstead’s best bowler, taking three for 75.

That total proved more than enough as an unusually abject batting display saw Wanstead dismissed for just 68.

Fives and Heronians Thirds moved a step closer to relegation from the Premier Division following a two-wicket loss to fellow relegation battlers South Woodford Thirds.

Batting first, Fives declared having posted 131 for nine but the decision proved to be a poor one as the home side chased down the total in under 30 overs.

Woodford Wells Thirds were heavily beaten by Hainault & Clayhall Thirds.

Wells batted first and delcared on 270 for six but a strong total was made to look modest as Hainault cruised home for the loss of only one wicket.

Third XI Division One

Buckhurst Hill Thirds wrapped up the title and remain unbeaten after drawing away to Wanstead & Snaresbrook Fourths.

Buckhurst are 29 points ahead of Brentwood Thirds with just one match to play and are yet to lose this season.

The champions set an imposing target of 324 with Daniel Parkinson (139) and Aniket Patel (100 not out) both hitting centuries.

Wanstead produced a spirited reply however, and finished on 165 for six to take home a share of the spoils.

Chingford Thirds pulled off an emphatic 213-run victory over Harold Wood Thirds after they bowled them out for just 66 in 18 overs, having batted first and set their opponents a daunting target of 279.

Third XI Division Two

West Essex Thirds lost by two wickets to relegation-threatened Hornchurch Fourths as their hopes of promotion were extinguished.

Having batted first, West Essex declared on 249 for nine before Hornchurch chased down the total in a little over 41 overs.

Loughton Thirds thrashed Brentwood Fourths by 104 runs after opener Dominic Sweeting carried his bat, making an impressive 122.

Dan Jones (75) assisted Sweeting as Loughton posted a daunting total of 255 for three with the away side struggling to 151 all out as Connor Sorrell took three for 26.

Third XI Division Three

Loughton Fourths remain on course for promotion after beating relegation strugglers Hutton Fourths.

Hutton were bowled out for 189 which Loughton chalked off for the loss of only four wickets.

South Woodford Fourths lost to Belhus Thirds by seven wickets.

South Woodford were bowled out for 195 which proved insufficient as Belhus cruised past the target on 199 for three.
