Leyton teenager Tiana Dennison finished seven at the Cadet Girls' National Cup, competing against the best table tennis players of her age.
Dennison, 14, was invited to the tournament in Bristol because of her position near the top of the Table Tennis England rankings .
She took on the nine other top players in a round-robin event.
Seeded eighth for the event, she won three matches and finished in seventh position – beating fourth seed Gauri Duhan 4-2 on the way.
Dennison, who attends Highams Park school, said: “I was hoping to win a few more, but I got three wins – and I was happy to win my last match.
"It was very tough, they are all good players.”
