Also featuring in two finals was Steve Baker, beating Warner 15-12 in the Mixed Veterans match but going out 107-73 to Peter Bates in the Mens Consistency.

Amongst the winners as well were Anne Munro beating Marion Kidd 23-8 in the Ladies Junior match and Graham Ballinger triumphing 21-9 over Paul Newman in the Mens’ Handicap Final.

Club captain Ron Perryman said: “We saw some great bowls played over two days. This is the highlight of our season, so it was good to see such close and competitive matches. The weather was kind and we were well supported by our members.”
