ARCHERY
A GROUP of Oakfield Archers travelled to Billericay for the Mayflower Indoor Tournament.
The shoot has national record status and included archers from across the south east region.
In the 18 metre FITA (a 40cm target reduced to five scoring zones) Bob Riley finished fourth in the mens section with a score of 550, while Yvonne Wade scored 517 in the ladies.
Andrew Devlin scored 526 and picked up the bronze medal in the boys and Aron Maher scored 90.
Louise Devlin scored 297 and Aishling Maher scored 270 in the girls.
In the compound bows (archers have to hit the smallest zone for a maximum 10) Pat Spragg finished with a silver medal in the ladies with a score of 549. Joan Ikel finished fourth with 541, while Christine Higgins scored 447.
Steve Spragg scored 528 in the mens.
