MEDIA reports claim that Spurs could finally be shot of want-away striker Dimitar Berbatov after taking Manchester United youngster Fraizer Campbell as the makeweight in a £30million deal.

The sulking Bulgarian has seen his chances of making his “dream move” to Old Trafford hit by Tottenham's refusal to accept no less than £30million.

But while the Red Devils have refused to up their original bid of £25million, the News of the World now claim that 20-year-old Campbell could prove the answer to the problem by moving in the opposite direction to White Hart Lane.

And according to the report Sir Alex Ferguson would be happy to let the £7million rated youngster leave to resolve the deadlock.

If all the paperwork is completed before midnight on Monday Berbatov will be clear to make an explosive United debut against Liverpool at Anfield on September 13.

And Spurs manager Juande Ramos clearly wants matters resolved as soon as possible. Speaking ahead of his sides trip to Chelsea today, he said: “I wouldn’t say I’m sick of the sight of Dimitar, but the sooner this is all finished the better.”
