ARSENE Wenger is delighted to have seen his Arsenal side return back to form against Newcastle following last weeks lifeless display against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

The Gunners put in their best performance of the season against Kevin Keegan's side at the Emirates on Saturday, returning to their quick silky passing game which has become essential to the Arsenal way of playing.

The north Londoners ran out 3-0 victors against the team from the North-East and it could have been more. The final scoreline was the least they deserved to win by but Wenger remained happy with the outcome of the match.

The Frenchman concedes however that his side have not reached their maximum level yet and a lot more is yet to come frrom his team.

''We have a team whose game is based on passing and movement,” Wenger told the club's official website.

“I believe that we could have played better in the final third and in the last 20 minutes of the game we could have done better to kill the game off. However there is more to come from this team and this will come down to how much we realise the talent we have.''
