SPURS boss Juande Ramos has spoken of his delight at landing Vedran Corluka, as he believes he can help bring out the best in Croatian team-mate Luka Modric.
Ramos, who had appeared to have missed out on Corluka, as City boss Mark Hughes attempted to hold onto the full-back, was delighted to secure his services before the transfer window closes tonight.
”I believe he is a magnificent footballer,” Ramos said on Setanta Sports News when asked to comment on Corluka. "He plays for his country and he brings many things to the team.”
Commenting on Corluka’s close relationship with midfielder Modric, Ramos added: “That is obviously a good thing for both players in terms of them settling in at the club and playing for the team.”
