FIORENTINA striker Pablo Daniel Osvaldo has revealed he turned down Tottenham to stay at the Serie A club.
The Argentina-born Italy under-21 star has attracted interest from clubs from across Europe after starring in Fiorentina's impressive run to the UEFA Cup semi-final last season.
But the 22-year-old insists he never comtemplated leaving the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
"I never had any doubts about wearing the Fiorentina jersey - a bid came from Tottenham but I never even thought about," said Osvaldo, who will be playing Champions League football with Viola this season.
"I'd like to become a player that does well in 20-25 matches a year, not just be decisive in two or three games.
"I want to earn the esteem and respect of my team-mates, the coach, and the fans. If they give me their confidence I won't disappoint."
