MEDIA reports this morning claim Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood would struggle to resist a big-money take over from Middle East investors.

Despite billionaire Stan Kroenke and Alisher Usmanov already holding significant share-holdings in the Gunners,who have always done their best in the past to resist foreign investment – Hill-Wood has revealed that any serious offer would have to be considered by the board.

The news comes after it was revealed that the Abu Dhabi United Group, who have invested in Manchester City, had strongly been considering a take-over of Arsenal, before having an before the Arab based investors, lead by Dr Sulaiman al Fahim, decided to shift their interest £210 million bid for City accepted.

"If somebody came and made a really huge bid then you cannot recommend shareholders turn it down because we don't like it," Hill-Wood told the Telegraph.

He added: "We want the club the stay in its current ownership and, of course, you have some concern that someone will try to buy the club.

"The directors don't want to sell but we are a public company. It depends on the price."
