PROMISING Arsenal youngster Kieran Gibbs reckons he can learn a lot about the new skills he will need as a full back from Gael Clichy.

The 19-year-old has been switched from pacy winger to marauding full back at the Emirates this season.

And the Lambeth-born ace - who signed a new long-term deal with the club last week - reckons he can no better than picking up a thing or two off Frenchman Clichy, who was voted as the best left back in the Premier League last season.

"Traditionally we have full backs who like to get forward," Gibbs told the club's offical website.

"Players like Ashley Cole and Gael Clichy, if I keep watching them I can learn to develop that.

"But I need to stay focused on the defending side, it’s something I do need to work on."

He added: "I feel more like an attacking player but they’ve started to play me at left back from the start of the season. They’re just trying me out there to see how it goes, but I’m happy to do both."
