SPURS star Luka Modric has cursed the injury sustained by Arsenal striker and Croatia team-mate Eduardo da Silva.
Former Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Modric, who is getting set to play England on Wednesday night in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers, believes his country could have won Euro 2008 if Eduardo had been fit.
The 25-year-old suffered an horrific broken leg at Birmingham in February a subsequently missed Croatia's run to the quarter-finals of the competition.
“If we had been at full-strength, with Eduardo up front, I would have bet on us, Modric told the Sunday Star.
“It’s not just an excuse – the fact is we are much stronger with him.”
