WOODFORD finished their London One North campaign with a flourish, dispatching Rochford Hundred 35-25 at their Highams ground to give their home fans a final hurrah.

In all, it has been a disappointing season for the team, as they finished the year in tenth place.

The final standings also show that they ended up bottom of the mini local league, with Eton Manor pipping them by two points, while Chingford were way out in front on 31 points, as they claimed fifth place.

Manor could yet extend that final margin as they have one more game to play, against Stevenage, on Saturday.

Elsewhere, the season is not yet over for Bancroft, who have the chance to gain promotion to London Three North East, where they could join local rivals Wanstead.

The Bs will contest a play-off this week to determine who is promoted.

Meanwhile, Woodford’s U15s competed in the Aylesbury RFC 10-a-side festival at the weekend, where they won all of their four pool matches.

They went on to defeat Buckingham 70-12 in the final, running in ten converted tries.

The boys now look forward to their Essex Cup final clash with Westcliff.

Woodford’s B team overcame Sudbury A at the weekend 10-7. A Harry Gahagan penalty was added to by a try by the forwards.
