YOUNG tennis hopefuls flocked to Whitehall Tennis Club courts to take part in the annual Wilson Junior Lawn Tennis Association Grade Three tournament last week.
In the men’s premier event, Wood-ford’s Joe Hall won the U21 singles competition.
However, Hall was undone in the U18 final by Luke Power, who raced to a 6-2 6-0 victory. In the girls’ event, Carys Gilbert won.
Andre Mouskides then overturned U18 champion Power 6-0 7-5 to win the U16 event, while Mill-ennia Severino won the U16 category in three sets. Sam Price and Angela Borowski were the U14 champions, while Andrew Berry and Erica Izatt won the U12 events.
