SAM WATTS and Alex Cornwall were the top performers for Woodford Green with Essex Ladies at the first National Junior League meet of the season.
Watts, whose goal it will be to qualify for the World Junior (U20) Champion-ships this year, almost matched the required 200m standard of 21.10secs with a first place from the outside lane at Barnet’s Copthall Stadium, clocking 21.36secs.
In the same event, Paul Scanlan impressed by finishing second in the B race, as the team combined to come fifth overall.
But it was Cornwall who enjoyed the most success, grabbing both the 800m and 1500m titles.
