Spurs will travel to Colchester United in the third round of the Carabao Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side did not enter the competition until last night’s draw due to their Champions League involvement.
They have been paired with the League Two side, who have already knocked out Premier League opposition after beating Crystal Palace 5-4 on penalties following a goalless draw at Selhurst Park on Tuesday night.
The tie is due to be played in the week beginning September 23.
