West Ham are believed to be looking to secure the services of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane M'Bia this summer.
The Cameroon international is currently out on loan at Sevilla after being deemed surplus to requirements by QPR boss Harry Redknapp.
M'Bia, 27, was highly sought after before leaving Marseille for Rangers, but fell out of favour at Loftus Road after admitting that he thought he was signing for the Scottish side Glasgow Rangers.
With an instant return to the Premier League looking increasingly unlikely for Redknapp's side and M'Bia not wanted by the R's, the 41-cap Cameroonian could be available for as little as £2.5m in the summer.
Injury has restricted M'Bia to just 15 La Liga starts this term.
