Jack Sullivan, son of West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan, has denied free agent Joey Barton is having a medical at the club despite reports to the contrary from Sky Sports News.
The midfielder was released in the summer at the end of his contract with the Hoops but is still without a club.
Newly-promoted Watford have been linked with the one-cap England international, who moved to distance himself from reports linking him with the Hornets last week.
And today Sky Sports News tweeted "Joey Barton having medical at West Ham - more details on #SSNHQ.”

But Sullivan responded just 30 minutes later by tweeting “Joey Barton is not having a medical TODAY”

The wording of Sullivan's tweet suggests the former Manchester City and Newcastle United midfielder could, however, undergo a medical later this week.
Barton was released by Queens Park Rangers in May after he was relegated with the club for the second time
He posted pictures on Instagram last month of himself working on his fitness for the new season and is expected to complete all medical tests on Tuesday and sign a contract with the Hammers if everything goes to plan.
West Ham have been heavily linked with Barcelona’s Alex Song on a permanent basis after the Cameroon international spent last year on loan at Upton Park but Barton looks set to replace the Barcelona man.
