WHIILE West Ham hate-figure Paul Ince wasn't happy with his sides 4-1 thrashing at Upton Park, he was surprised by the fairly low key reception he received at Upton Park yesterday.
The former Hammers midfielder was jeered and cat-called by the West Ham fans - nearly 20 years after he upset them by wearing a Manchester United shirt in public even before his transfer to Old Trafford was sealed.
But Ince admitted he was still surprised that the reaction he got wasn't a lot more intense, although thinks time is a great help.
He said: "It's always like a circus when I come back here. Today I thought it was pretty tepid. It was great. There are probably 15,000 fans out there that were not even born when it happened.”
