WEST HAM have reportedly turned down a renewed £5million offer from Sunderland for Carlton Cole.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Stadium of Light already this summer, while Premier League newboys Stoke were believed to have tabled a bid for the striker last week.
Cole - who scored his second goal of the season in Saturday's 4-1 win over Blackburn - has established himself as a key component of Alan Curbishley's squad and last week pledged himself to the club.
Despite reports he is at loggerheads with the club over a new contract, the player himself also revealed that discussions over a new deal are going well.
However, Roy Keane wants the former Chelsea hitman to complete his summer spending spree.
The Black Cats boss has made eight major signings already, including Anton Ferdinand in an £8million deal from West Ham last week.
