WEST HAM will be boosted by the news that Fernando Torres is out of tonight's match with Liverpool after undergoing knee surgery.
The Spanish hitman will miss the rest of the season as a result of the injury, and his absence will come as a major boost to the Hammers, who are still fighting to secure their Premier League status.
Midfielder Scott Parker completes his two-game suspension so is unavailable for Gianfranco Zola, as is Kieron Dyer, James Tomkins, Zavon Hines and Luis Boa Morte, who came through 45 minutes for the reserves after seven months out but is not yet ready to return to first-team action.
Fabio Aurelio and Emiliano Insua are also out for Liverpool.
