West Ham have reportedly made another offer for Reading striker Shane Long after their first bid was rejected.
The Hammers are actively looking for a striker and are thought to have made a £5m offer for the 24-year-old with £3m in add-ons. But this was turned down because the Royals want more money up front.
Long has only one year left on his contract at the Championship club and scored 21 league goals last season.
Speaking at the weekend, Hammers boss Sam Allardyce said: "We’ve only got two experienced front players. I know we’ve got some young ones coming through but we’ve only got Carlton [Cole] and Freddie [Piquionne] so I think we need one in that end."
