Manchester City have reportedly rejected West Ham's offer to take former star Carlos Tevez back on loan.
The controversial Argentine striker was suspended by the Premier League club this week after allegedly refusing to come off the bench during the defeat at Bayern Munich.
Football league rules allow Tevez to join a Championship club on loan despite the transfer window closing.
Tevez scored seven goals in his time at Upton Park when he helped the Hammers avoid relegation in 2007.
