Bolton midfielder Matt Taylor has flown home from their US tour to complete a £2.2m move to West Ham.
The 29-year-old only has one year left on his contract and is understood to favour a move down south.
Taylor was unable to produce his best form last season and his position in the team came under threat from Martin Petrov.
The former Portsmouth player must pass a medical and agree personal terms before he can finalise his move to Upton Park.
