EXCITEMENT swept a barber shop when snooker legend Ronnie O’ Sullivan came in for his latest trim.
When the five-time world champion popped into The Wanstead Barber Shop in November he promised he would be back soon for another cut.
So the 41-year-old proved to be a man of his word last Saturday (January 14) when he returned to the High Street barbers ahead of his first round at the Masters on Sunday.
Great to see you Ronnie ! Hope my haircut brings you good luck 🍀!@ronnieo147 #snookerpro #barbershop #wanstead #e11 pic.twitter.com/OHVmBazFsq

Shop owner Emma said: “He gave us a call to say he was going to pop in because he liked the way we cut his hair last time.
“He was really down to earth and friendly like before.
“He was just really excited to get back to playing snooker again.
“And he talked a bit about the book he’s releasing soon, which sounded great."
The “Rocket” asked for a Mohawk on his last visit, but took Emma’s advice on building up to the style more gradually.
She added: “We went a bit shorter, but he was still talking about the Mohawk, so we’ll see what he goes for next time.
“The shop was much busier than last time so there were a few open mouths when he walked in.”
After an exciting first-round encounter with China’s Liang Wenbo the next day, the Chigwell star got through to the Masters quarter finals with a 6-5 win.
Emma said: “I’ve never watched snooker in my life, but I did watch it this time.
“It was really nice to see him win.”
